Welcome to Clive's page!!

Here you will find everything with respect to Clive and his long, rich family heritage which can be traced as far back as the year 1157 in his genealogical tree. You will also learn of his music, and scientific and cultural inheritances of his ancestors. Besides extensive family accomplishments, Clive has recorded many fond musical memories under the collection of CD’s named “LANDMARK MEMORIES” Many of his own compositions can also be heard in this collection. The Name, The Race and the Family written by Edward Arthur Miles in 1835 will over time be replicated in this site together with scientific achievements of the family, “Random Thoughts” of Clive’s grandfather and his father’s war-time experiences under the title “I was There”. It was great and brave men like Clive’s father Major Philip Pierpoint Miles, that permitted a better life for so many of us today. Sadly this is now often forgotten, but never should be, since such men sacrificed much in the defense of liberty and freedom. Since much of ancient times has become hazy over the centuries, we ask historians and others interested in the works presented here, to challenge any assertions made in order to improve the writings of Clive’s ancestors. We hope that Clive’s wife Iris and children, Andrew, Catherine and Roderick will over the years enrich this site as they relate their own experiences in their journey through life.
